Our top-notch instructors share their personalities, playlists, and strengths to create workouts that are always challenging and engaging. Spin Class Q & A
What is spinning?
Spin classes are a high intensity cardio and strength training workout on a stationary bike with great music and motivated people. The class lasts for an hour and works your whole body. Research demonstrates that spinning is a safe and effective cardiovascular workout for weight management.
How does it work?
Spinning is more than riding a bike with crazy music and lots of yelling. We do intervals, endurance rides, climbs, and sprints. The entire program is led by an experienced instructor who leads the class through the workout. Come at least 10 minutes early to make sure that the seat and handlebars are adjusted properly for your height and build.
What if I can’t keep up?
Spin classes are non-competitive and individually paced. In our spin classes, you are in charge of your resistance and speed. You can work at your own level and slow down to catch your breath whenever you want to.
What’s in it for me?
A shot of endorphins for one. A great workout that is gentle on the joints for another. Spinning will tone and strengthen your core, legs, and glutes. It is a great way to lose that last 5 pounds. You’ll have fun with a bunch of other fun people.
